The Ultimate Life Skill that skool never taught you
Forget what all the self-help books have taught you...
Forget what all the self-help books have taught you about self love, meditation, or journaling.
When it comes down to it…
There’s only one skill that truly matters in the game of life.
and it’s the ability to say 2 words really damn well.
YES and NO.
You can call it decision making, risk management, or “tapping into one’s instincts”.
But here’s the issue…
No one has ever taught you how to make decisions.
Think about it.
Has anyone ever sat you down and said,
“Here’s the XYZ framework to make any decision.”
No!
People will say… it’s just one of those “life skills” that you pick up along the way.
(Make enough mistakes, and you’ll learn that maybe you shouldn’t touch a hot stove.)
But life is more than just hot stoves…
It’s break ups and dating, negotiations and projects.
Here’s my personal framework for making great decisions.
It’s call the YO-YO rule of success.
Why a Yo-Yo you ask?
Well… aside from the amazing wordsmithing of Yes + No.
Life is a lot like a yo-yo.
Simple. Fun. And hard to master.
Successful people don’t make the right decisions, they make their decisions right. - Anonymous
When you make a decision, you need to commit 100% just like a yo-yo.
You can’t throw it half-assed and expect a good result.
And when you screw up…
You need to be willing to wind up the yo-yo again and take another shot.
If you want to get better at (life)
you need to make more decisions, more mistakes, and more commitments.
So what are you waiting for?
Start spinning that yo-yo!
