He looked me dead in the eyes…
His intense gaze pinned me down like a helpless animal about to receiving the killing blow…
Then he pulled me so close I could smell the morning whiskey from his breath—
And whispered to me,
“For the new you to live, the old you must die!”…
As he THRUSTED his blade straight through my stomach.
BLAM!
I’m dead, as I fall to the floor in a style befitting of a shakespearean tragedy. There’s blood oozing from my mouth, my stomach looks like an erupted volcano, and my dead eyes fall upon the audience.
A hush falls over the crowd.
*the curtains close.*
The End.
I call that dramatic scene “What it feels like to end my Substack newsletter after 2 years of publishing.”
Okay, dramatics aside…
Remember how I said I had a radical plan in my last email?
Well… here it is!
I’m leaving Substack, moving to Convertkit, and rebranding the newsletter!
I’m putting 110% of my effort in this next project so here’s what you can expect with the new Day One Creators newsletter:
Weird, wacky, and unique tips to help you grow as a creator
More laughs and smiles (hopefully)
More behind the scene dives into my business
Tips on building a high impact, low effort creator biz
Occasional Ai tips
Marketing + Creator principle breakdowns
Much more photos and visuals!
Until the end of the year, Day One Creators is going to be my own personal Juliet.
I’m going to give my undivided attention to this new exciting project and I can’t wait to share it with you.
My end of year goal is to build a lean mean newsletter driven business… that isn’t dependent upon social media.
Not just that, but I also want to create a corner of the internet where I can meet awesome people like you on a even deeper level.
And I want to raise the level at which I can provide value to you guys as well.
Stay tune— because next Sunday you’ll be receiving my new newsletter email!

Ever thought about starting a Youtube or Tiktok but just couldn’t get started?
My friend Jordan is starting his 5 Day Video Sprint in a few days and it’s FREE if you complete the challenge.
I’ll be joining the cohort in the next month.
Out of curiosity, why the move to ConvertKit? I enjoy both tools and am wondering what made you decide to switch :)
Good luck, Brian! I'm sticking to Substack for now. Of course, my goals are different from many creators. I can't wait to see what you do next.
